A major attraction in Regent Park is finally open – the artificial ice rink!
The skating rink is located at 480 Shuter Street, at the corner of Sumach and Shuter streets. This amenity is part of the Regent Park Athletic Grounds and features a fieldhouse, with a warming/change area and washrooms. Fieldhouse allows visitors to leave their shoes and other belongings indoors while enjoying various activates on the ice. No equipment rentals are provided and visitors are encouraged to bring their own equipment and gear.
The skating rink is open as of November 26th, 2022 to March 19th, 2023 and is available 7 days a week from 10am to 10pm on most days. The featured programs are a leisure ice skate for all ages, adult shinny (19+), all age shinny, child with caregiver shinny (9-12) and youth shinny (13-17). A Zamboni is typically brought in twice a day to resurface the ice and to ensure the skaters have an optimal experience.
Daily schedule for different programs can be found at Toronto.ca/skate and is also included below. We strongly recommend that skaters double check the schedule online, as it is subject to change and will also vary based on weather conditions.
Evening skates are our favourite winter activity in the park, and we strongly encourage you to get outside and enjoy this free neighbourhood amenity as well.
