First Upscale Restaurant in Regent Park has Finally Opened

I am super excited to announce that a truly upscale dining establishment has opened its doors in Regent Park! This has been a long time coming and as a proud resident of the area, I am thrilled to see Zuzu Restaurant and Bar finally open its doors.

The team behind this restaurant is truly special. Toronto’s most popular eateries such as Gusto 101, Gusto 501, Trattoria Nervosa and Chubby’s Jamaican Chicken all belong to the Gusto 54 Restaurant Group and with Zuzu, they’ve just added one more top-notch eatery to their portfolio. Janet Zuccarini is the powerhouse entrepreneur and the sole owner and visionary behind the Gusto 54 Restaurant Group. She’s a resident judge on top chef Canada and a recipient of many industry awards and accolades.

With such an impressive track record and such an accomplished team, Café Zuzu and Zuzu Restaurant and Bar are destined for greatness. What helps is that there are many residents in Regent Park that have been craving an upscale dining experience that has been sorely lacking for years. The cafe portion of Zuzu has already been open for a number of months and foot traffic has been at an all-time high featuring Italian pastry, innovative beverages, co-working space, a retail section and a bottle shop.

Zuzu Restaurant and Bar features beautiful, retro-inspired Italian décor paired with classic Italian dishes with a modern take. Who doesn’t love delicious pasta at the end of a long work day? We’re definitely here for it!  An extensive wine list and a variety of unique cocktails are also on the menu.

The doors officially opened on March 11th and the Live in Regent Park team couldn’t miss the opportunity to taste the food for ourselves.

Café Zuzu & Zuzu Restaurant and Bar is located at 555 Dundas Street East, at the base of the Paintbox condominium. The restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm-10pm.
