Where to Get Active in Regent Park

We can all agree that physical activity is incredibly important to our overall well-being.   1. Regent Park Athletic Grounds

    The athletic grounds are the obvious choice when it comes to sporting activities. Turf field is most-frequently utilized for soccer with regular pickup games taking place in the evenings. It’s not uncommon to see group fitness training taking place on the pitch as well in the morning or late afternoons. There’s also a running track, a basketball court with 6 hoops and a hockey  rink which is used for activities such as pickleball and foot hockey in the summer.

  2. Pam McConnell Aquatic Centre

    This award-winning aquatic centre is a neighbourhood staple and also happens to attract a lot of Torontonians that reside outside of Regent Park. Modern facilities, clean changerooms and showers as well as free entry are many reasons why it’s worth a visit for an avid swimmer.   3. Regent Park Community Centre

    Completed in early 2016, Regent Park Community centre has cemented itself as a community hub and a destination for many. Not only is there a multi-purpose indoor gymnasium with basketball nets, a gym with modern equipment, change rooms with lockers and showers, but there is also a monthly activity schedule with programs such as soccer, dance, ping-pong, badminton, volleyball, yoga and much more.

  4. F45 Training Regent Park

    F45 is a relatively new gym that has opened in Regent Park but make no mistake, the phenomenon that is F45 spans across 1,750 studios worldwide in over 45 countries. The space offers group fitness classes with rotating programs overseen by professional fitness coaches to help you reach your goals all within a brisk 45 minute workout. Located at the base of the “Wyatt” condominium, it is an excellent way to improve your fitness level for a small monthly membership fee.

  5. The Lower Don River Trail

    This is gorgeous trail which provides a much-needed nature escape from the hustle and bustle of the city is located within a 5-minute walk from Regent Park. Don River trail can be accessed from Queen Street or Riverdale park and offers kilometers of trails for runners and cyclists alike. A place to visit to get closer with nature, go on a relaxing walk or push yourself to your limits.
